Artificial Planet v0.9
AI.Planet is a virtual world for artificial
intelligence. The world can be altered by adding water, land, suns,
moons, rivers, and atmosphere. Plants, animals, and fish can be added
to create a dynamic ecosystem. Clouds, wind, lightning, water
currents, and weather naturally arise from the sun and other influences.
You can explore your
planet from outer space, by walking around, by tracking creatures, and by
controlling a bot that interacts with the environment.

Artificial Planet v0.6
AI.Planet is a virtual planet where
artificial intelligences can live. The world can be altered by adding
water, land, suns, moons, and atmosphere. Plants, animals, and fish can be
added and evolved to create a dynamic ecosystem. Developers can use this
project to test algorithms, for game AI, natural simulations, and other
applications. Users can explore their planet from outer space, by walking
around, and by tracking creatures.

Artificial Planet v0.4
This beta renders the full functionality of 0.2b in OpenGL. Trees grow in
real time, drop fruit, and generate forests. Suns and moons orbit the
globe, fluxuating temperature, causing cloud formations and glaciers.
Dynamic camera allows you to zoom out to see the galaxy, zoom in to see seeds
and apples on the ground, or fly around the planet. A flexible user
interface allows complete control in a three-dimensional environment.

Artificial Planet
v0.3
This is a fusion of version 0.2b and the 3D Environment. It retains all
the functionality of v0.2 while demonstrating progress to a three-dimensional
system. The 3D component snaps in; no changes to the underlying engine
were made. Height is now a feature of the map.

- Pentium III 600 or higher recommended, OpenGL graphics support

Artificial Planet v0.2
The reality is customizable: the user can adjust the speed of time, size of
space, amount of water, sun/moon cycles, and so on. Trees bear seeding
fruit, which may grow into forests, etc, which evolve advantageous adaptations
to niche environments. This system demonstrates that a network based on
simple rules can generate complexity, while still retaining coherency, and run
on a home desktop computer.
